All the ease. None of the upsell.
Your library. Without the clutter.
Kinara streams your movies and shows to every screen in the house and anywhere you go. It remembers where you left off, plays 4K the way it was meant to, and never puts an ad between you and your own files.
Free. Runs on Windows, Linux and macOS.

The right next episode, every time, on every device.
Played untouched whenever your TV supports it.
NVIDIA, Intel and AMD, with HDR tone mapping when a screen needs it.
Reach your server from anywhere, with no VPN to set up.
Point Kinara at your movie and show folders and it brings in the posters, summaries and cast for you.
Found by listening across a season. Nothing to mark by hand.
Android TV, Roku, phones, tablets and the web, plus Chromecast and AirPlay.
Just your library on your home screen.
Playback
Plays right on the TV you actually own.
- Direct play for 4K HEVC, HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
- Converts only when needed, sized to what each device can decode.
- Hardware transcoding included, on NVIDIA, Intel and AMD.
- A priority device keeps its quality when the server is busy.
- Blu-ray subtitles without re-encoding, and preview thumbnails while you scrub.

Find your next watch.
Browse what's trending, new and classic, or by genre. Search everything, not just what you have: one switch takes it beyond your library.
Every title page has More like this, mixing what's already on your server with what isn't.
Scan with the Kinara app on your phone, or enter the code.

Remote play
Your library, away from home.
Remote play is built in. Sign in once and your apps reach your server from a hotel, a friend's place or your phone on cellular. No VPN, and usually no router settings to touch.
- Connects straight to your server whenever it can, so quality isn't capped by a middleman.
- Uses a relay only when a network blocks a direct path, then switches back on its own. Or bring your own relay.
- Quality adapts to the connection, and your priority device keeps its quality first.
- Pair a TV by scanning a code, and block any device from the manager.
- A built-in speed test shows what each device can take.
Every screen
One library. Every screen.
Progress, lists and requests follow you from the TV to your tablet, laptop and phone. Cast from your phone with Chromecast or AirPlay, and on Google TV what you're watching waits on the home screen.

Server
Apps
Google Play covers Android phones, tablets and Android TV, including the Nvidia Shield and Google TV.
Read the code, build it yourself, or help shape it. The apps are closed source for now.
For the owner
Run it like it's yours. Because it is.
- A manager in the browser for libraries, users and devices.
- A metrics page for the processor, GPU, streams and storage.
- Intro and credits detection with nothing to set up.
- Users, profiles and devices, with remote access you can switch off per device.
- Works beside an existing library without touching your files.
Developers
Built to be built on.
Everything the apps do goes through the same documented API. Hook it into your home automation, your dashboards or your own scripts.
Get a POST when something happens: playback, new titles, scans, requests, users and the server itself. Pick the events per hook.
Every delivery is signed with HMAC-SHA256 and timestamped. Failed ones retry on a schedule for up to two hours.
See each delivery, its response and timing. Send a test event or redeliver any one with a click.
Give your own tools a private URL to post status to. Updates show up live on everyone's request.
Scoped keys for scripts and services, created and revoked from the manager.
The full API is published by your own server. Generate a client in any language, or read it in the docs.
One lightweight endpoint tells any client what changed, so your own dashboards stay as current as the apps.
Processor, GPU, traffic, route timings, storage and recent warnings, in the manager and over the API.

Events
Your media never leaves your server. The cloud only handles sign-in and helps your devices find it.
Hardware transcoding, intro skipping and requests are part of Kinara, not an add-on.
The server's code is public, so you can see exactly what runs on your machine.
Bring your library home.
Install the server, point it at your folders, and open the app on your TV. Free, with no catch.
